​Each year, the scholarship is awarded at the Heroes Live Forever 5K event, held every October. It is presented to graduating high school seniors who are dedicated to serving their communities — whether as first responders or by joining the military — continuing the path of service, courage, and selflessness that Tracy exemplified throughout her life.

About the Scholarship
The Tracy Ferrazza Memorial Scholarship was established to provide financial support to students who are determined to serve others through public safety and defense careers. The scholarship aims to ease the financial burden of education or training for students entering the military or becoming first responders, ensuring that they can follow their passion for service without financial worry.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors from the Templeton area, and recipients are chosen based on their commitment to service, leadership, and community involvement.

Award Ceremony: Heroes Live Forever 5K
The scholarship winners are honored annually at the Heroes Live Forever 5K, a signature event of the Vest Up 4 The Fallen initiative. This event is a celebration of Tracy Ferrazza’s life and a tribute to all first responders and military personnel who risk their lives for the safety of others.
The Heroes Live Forever 5K brings the community together in memory of Tracy’s selflessness and the countless heroes who serve every day. It is here that the scholarship recipients are publicly recognized for their commitment to service and their bright futures as the next generation of heroes.
